Moderator's Biography

Dr. Meng-Shin Shiao graduated from Institute of Zoology, National Taiwan University, Taiwan as Ph.D. in 2006. She has a wide range of training background including zoology, molecular evolution, genomics, and cancer biology. Her current position is senior researcher in Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand. She is also the Assistant Dean for International Relations and Research Collaborations in Ramathibodi Hospital, mainly assisting Taiwan and Asian businesses. Her research interests include using exosomes as biomarkers to detect ovarian cancer early and using zebrafish as model to identify function of a disease-causing gene in human.
